Authorities report that two people were stabbed at a Pulse bus stop on West Broad Street on Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus.

VCU and Richmond police responded to the GRTC Pulse station in the 1000 block of West Broad at 3:19 p.m. for reports of a fight in progress.

A witness reported that a victim had been stabbed during the altercation but left the area. The two victims were found with stab wounds and were provided medical assistance, according to VCU Alerts.

The suspect is described as a black-haired male in his early 20s wearing a black shirt, black pants and black and white shoes.

Richmond police are leading the investigation. They report increased patrols in the area.

A 4:30 p.m. update from VCU said the situation had been resolved.
